We were stationed in OKC for 4 years and absolutely loved.. mind you, I'm from philly and currently living in Florida and I want to go back to OKLAHOMA! I would rather cheer for OU and OKC Thunder than root for the damn florida gators and watch all these fruity ass gator fans getting their panties in bunches. Much success to the Thunder.. I hope they succeed there and show everyone what Oklahoma is ALL ABOUT!

wow...talk about out of touch...OKC didn't "steal" anything...Seattle didn't live up to it's promises of a new arena and the Sonics owner chose to move his team to another city...simple as that. OKC is a great city that totally supported the pro team who played there after hurricane Katrina, and they will support this team as well...leave them alone.
you can say that all you want srodger, but that doesn't change that a simple description of this whole matter would be that OKC stole (you're just disillusioning yourself) away a team, legally or not.

no offense to anyone, but the jersey's which are the topic of conversation now, ARE hideous. Not only are they a combined knockoff of the knicks and warriors but they decided to combine them into a wnba jersey, oh wait the name is even a wnba team name, ain't that special. When they(NBA,Bennett,etc.) decided to move their Seattle Supersonics to OK they had wonderful intentions(might have been screwing their cousins/brother/sisters but hey! ohh chill - joke). A great fan-base, a presently booming city, and a potential success. Little did they realize that the team was respectively successful in Seattle which has a wonderful community and currently 3 professional sports teams. I guess if you whine enough people start to be persuaded, but to take this "thunderous" team which Seattle put their pride into out of the city and across the country was inexplicably irrational. New Arena or Not.

I love OKC...I live in Seattle...my family is from OKC, Meeker, Shawnee, etc. I have no grudge against Oklahoma, just Clay Bennett...but it's all good, Seattle will get another NBA team. But damn those logos are horrible!!! Good luck on the season though
Oklahoma city may be one of the fastest growing cities in the United States..but Las Vegas, has been the fastest growing city in the entire world. so what the hell, it sucks that the sonics had to leave seattle in the first place...but to Oklahoma???? i can name 10 other cities that well deserve an NBA team more than small ass Oklahoma City including Las Vegas. Las Vegas besides all the gambling, (which can be worked out trust me) would be the most logical choice, biggest city left and is a basketball town. could work well with alot of logos and team names etc etc. San Diego, Tampa Bay, Kansas City, St. Louis, Seattle, Baltimore, San Jose, Nashville, Cincinnati, Columbus, i guess des moines maybe? The oklahoma Thunder will never have a winning season. The reason is simple. Any player of good quality will not want to play there. even if given a good amount of money. Even if some quality players do decide to sign on -that town -that name -the owners will never give them the -winning spirit necessary for 88 games. With Oil at $40 a barrel they will soon be on there way out of that minor league town.
